PAF contingent off to Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage

KARACHI: A contingent of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) comprising 80 intending pilgrims left for Jeddah from the PAF Base Shahra-e-Faisal here.

According to a press release issued here on Thursday, the Haj contingent, comprising officers, airmen and civilian employees of the Pakistan Air Force, was seen off by Air Vice Marshal Syed Azhar Hassan Rizvi, air officer commanding of the Southern Air Command.

Talking to the intending pilgrims, Air Vice Marshal Syed Azhar Hassan Rizvi said: “You are the representatives of a highly organized air force and ambassadors of the country in the holy land. Haj provides us an opportunity to shed away our mutual differences and flourish unity, sacrifice, equality and care among the pan-Islamic brotherhood.”
