Pakistan’s JCSC chief pays a farewell visit to PAF airbase

ISLAMABAD: Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Chairman General Khalid Shameem Wynne paid a farewell visit to an operational airbase of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on Monday.


According to an official press release, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt was also present on the occasion.

During his visit, General Khalid Shameem Wynne had an interactive session with the combat aircrew and airmen of the base. He expressed his deep satisfaction on the niche attained by the PAF amongst the modern air forces of the world.

Expressing views on the prevailing situation and the efforts put in by the defense forces of Pakistan in this connection, General Wynne appreciated the synergy attained in devising a comprehensive, well-coordinated and unprecedented tri-service joint strategy to preserve the national freedom, and blunt any aggression, in highly professional manner.


General Wynne expressed his satisfaction in the readiness state and awareness of the aerial defenders of the nation towards their responsibilities and appreciated their high moral.

Earlier on his arrival at the airbase, General Wynne and Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt were received by the air officer commanding of the regional air command and the base commander.
